Just about all of our Yuma area golf courses are now open. They have spent considerable sums on seed and labor preparing the courses for winter play. Please be respectful of the hard work they have put in and drive carefully on the new
grass. Follow cart restrictions, avoid sharp turns, avoid driving on slopes, repair ball marks, and fill divots with sand and seed mix.
At Mesa del Sol in Sunday Couples the team of Sam and Tiffany Humer paired with Corinne Kosmata and Todd Birney to win the 4-person elimination scramble.
At Las Barrancas in the Men’s Silver league Mark Stoner, John Cullen and David Richelderfer were the gross winners. Gene Reynolds, Ken Griffin and John Newberry won net. In the Men’s Copper league John Cullen and Mark Stoner were the gross winners. Larry Nicholson and Mike Costello won net.
At the Foothills Executive
in Men’s league play Art McLaughlin and David Richelderfer were the gross winners. Mike Costello and Bill Taylor won net.
At Mesa del Sol in the Moose Lodge league scramble the team of Jimmy Billisbach, Keith Swearingen, Joyce Martin and Joyce Hardin tied the team of Larry Gray, Jerry Klinger, Carol DeVolld and Carl Prickett with scores of 35.
At Mesa del Sol in the Monday Quota league Pinky Throckmorton finished first. Wayne Gunion was second and Shannon Mason third. In Pinky’s Picks Gayle Mabey finished first. Sam Samples was second and Jack Parker third.
At Mesa del Sol in Men’s league team play Steve Martin, Jeffrey Sloboden, Hugh Strain and Sam Samples won with a 137 2-ball total. Steve Parrish, Jack Henson, Bill Slade and Joe Paden were second at 140 with Ray Butler, Bill Downing, Bill
Griffith and David Henager third at 141.
Hole in One Congratulations to: Jim Kerley on the 7th hole at Las Barrancas. Susan Jones made hers on the 17th hole at Mesa del Sol, using an 8 iron from 96 yards.
