Information on new food code to be presented Wednesday

Crucial information to all restaurants, hotels, schools, daycares, food markets, cafeterias, caterers and mobile units will be presented during a session at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Yuma Main Library Room A, 2951 S. 21st Drive.

Next year, the state is moving to a new food code, and it will be adopted by Yuma County. The last time the food code changed was in 1999.

The new code contains new requirements for training and documentation that are going to affect all the food facilities.

This session is geared towards owners, managers and/or head chefs who want to know how to do the paperwork and training that must be completed for next year.

A 30-minute presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period. Registration is required. Limited seating is available. Go to evenbrite.com to register.
