Temporary home for stores, dry cleaner coming soon

Vape lounge, smoke shop move into new building AT&T opens new store in Foothills

-

Brandon and Cynthia Chavez have a lot going on, but they’re doing just fine juggling all their projects. They recently moved their combined stores of Code Boutique and Senny’s Bridal and

Accessories into a new location: 2385 S. 4th Ave.

Customers don’t have to go too far. The new location is right next door.

But it’s only temporary. The Chavezes broke ground on Saturday for a future permanent home for their stores. The new building will be located at 1580 S. Avenue A, at the northwest corner of 16th Street and Avenue A.

Code Boutique offers formal wear and tuxedo rentals, and Senny’s has jewelry and accessories for brides and special occasions.

The telephone number for the dual businesses remains the same: 928-7823242. *** But there’s more … Have you noticed that a new dry cleaning company is opening at the site of the former

Family Dry Cleaners, in the Big Curve Shopping Center, which closed early this year?

Yes, it’s Brandon and Cynthia Chavez. They’re opening Yuma Cleaners at the end of the month at 305 W. Catalina Drive.

This veteran and locally owned business will be 100% eco-friendly and offer dry cleaning, alterations, pickups and dropoffs.

Reach Cynthia at 928-5819001 and reach Brandon at 928-581-8792.

*** De Vapors Vape Lounge and Yuma Smoke Shop also have new homes. They’re now kittycorner to their old locations at 2450 S. 4th Ave., Suite 117, in the Crescent Center. They moved to 2395 S. Ave., the former site of Code Boutique. De Vapors is in Suite 84 and Yuma Smoke Shop is in Suite 90.

Owner Delon Ablahad bought the building, completely remodeled it and divided it into two areas. The vape lounge opened last month, and the smoke shop celebrated its grand opening on Saturday.

The vape lounge, in business since 2016, sells only vape products and nothing else, Ablahad said.

For the smoke shop, Ablahad had a temperature-controlled cigar humidor built out of Spanish cedar wood. He carries “everything a smoker needs,” including cigars, cigarettes and hookahs.

The shop also has an extensive line of CDB, even for pets. Everything is high-end but the prices are very low, he noted.

Ablahad has left empty space in the shop, which he plans to fill with the products requested by customers.

Ablahad also owns Delys Smoke Shop, which remains at its current location of 2750 W 16th St., He opened this shop in 2010 after coming to visit his uncle and never leaving. “The people are nice, and it’s easy to go home and come back,” he explained.

The businesses are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Reach De Vapors at 928276-3535 and reach Yuma Smoke Shop at 928-276-4239.
