Dale Eugene Grissom

November 27, 1948 - November 14, 2019

Dale Eugene Grissom, 70, passed away November 14, 2019 at his home in Phoenix, AZ.

He was the son of Archie Elmore Grissom and Emma Gene (Waymon) Renick as well as the step-son of Bill Renick, of whom he admired greatly. All three of them preceded him in death. He was born in Garden City, Kansas and raised in Yuma, Arizona where he met his wife of 50 years, Karen (Morris) Grissom. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple, December 27, 1986.

He leaves behind his children Tabitha Grissom (Kenny), Scott Grissom (Heidi), Tiffany Grissom (Sherry), ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his siblings, Ken Grissom (Debbie), Judy Grissom Parks (Jimmy) and Diane Grissom Snailum-Rockwell.

Dale was a loving husband to his “honey-bunch, sweet pea” and a devoted father to his children and grandchildren. He was a kind gentle man but also a smart-ass jokester which brought laughs to all. However, he was always willing to help a friend in need. At the last minute he could be found fixing a pipe for someone and always had the right part for the job, even if it was needed in the middle of the night. He could build a number of things and passed on these traits to his children, all of which are home project builders and remodelers in their off time.

He was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, Vineyard Ward, Phoenix Arizona South Mountain Stake. Dale was a Stake Ward Mission Leader as well as a Primary Teacher and Activity Committee Chairman.

Dale will truly be missed by the many people he has influenced over the years. Although he will be missing from our lives, the memories are ours to keep.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4125 W Baseline Road, Laveen, Arizona 85339. Interment will be at the Hubbard Cemetery, Thatcher, Arizona.
