The Cibola boys wresting team participat­ed in the Green Valley Duals Meet in Henderson, Nev. The Raiders finished third overall and had several members finish undefeated in individual matches.

Demarko Gomez, Juan Sierra, Zeke Guerrero and Liam Hoffmeyer each finished the weekend tournament unbeaten.

Yuma Catholic finished second overall in the 2019 Wrangler Invitation­al. The Shamrocks had 10 individual­s place inside the top-four in their respective weightclas­ses. Easton Jones finished 4th (120 pounds), Devon Deupree placed 4th (132 pounds), Aden Cain took first place (138 pounds), Tevon Mellor placed 3rd (145 pounds), Lorenzo Duran placed 3rd (170 pounds), Nick Johnson finished 3rd (182 pounds), Jacob Lawseth took home 2nd (195 pounds), Seth Stoner placed 3rd (195 pounds), while Jacob Webb finished 3rd (220 pounds) and Brannon Weatherby placed 3rd (285 pounds).

Coyotes rally for shootout win over Blackhawks

CHICAGO — Conor Garland and Nick Schmaltz scored in the shootout against Robin Lehner, and the Arizona Coyotes rallied from two goals down to to beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Sunday night.

Patrick Kane connected against Darcy Kuemper in the tiebreaker as the Coyotes improved to 5-2 in shootouts this season and finished a 3-1 road trip.

Garland got his team-leading 12th goal in regulation, and Carl Soderberg and Christian Fischer also scored. Kuemper finished with 26 saves through overtime.

Jonathan Toews has a goal and two assists for his first three-point game this season. Alex DeBrincat and Dominik Kubalik also scored for injury-depleted Chicago, which played beyond regulation for the third straight game following an overtime win at Boston on Thursday and a shootout win at New Jersey the following night.

Lehner had 44 saves — including several sensationa­l ones — as the Coyotes pressured late.
