In the Desert Hills Men’s Club December tournament, Gabe Rico finished first in a playoff with a 70. Bill Mendehall was second, also at 70. Danny Seul and Josh Welch both shot 72, with Mario Robles in fifth at 73. Simon Ruiz won low net with a 66. Rennie Dixon, Shawn McKeown and Daryl Bugarin all finished two shots back at 68. In the second flight, Ed Alupay won low gross with a 75. Andrew Hovanec was second at 83. Jose Campos won second flight low net with a 65. Robert Gomez Sr. and Richie Cervantes both finished at net 69.

In the Mesa del Sol Ladies Winter Classic, Mary Kruse and Joan Webb shot 160 and won a two-hole sudden death playoff to win overall gross. Connie Donner and Deb Peterson shot a 125 to win the overall net. Donner and Peterson also prevailed in the elimination derby. First flight winners were Sun Douthit and Cathy Francis gross, Lydia Couch and Debi Mohr net. Second flight winners were Tami Harmon and Joy Mueller gross, Selma Cusick and Marilyn Cotter net. Third flight winners were Lola Stone and Jolayne Williams gross, Lorraine Breault and Louis Mabey net.

At Foothills Par 3 in the Men’s league, David Richelderfer, Bill Taylor and Rollie Harris were the gross winners. Don Vine, Gary Sulzor and Greg Beatie won net. Roger Sprague, Rob Grause, Doug Buysman and Dave Tauber were the team winners. In the Women’s league, Renee McCarrel, Linda Wilder and Dona Laidlaw were the gross winners. Kathy Beatie, Elaine Tremblay and Dona Williams won net. Wilma George, Val Gleave, June Garcia and Lori Tremblay were the team winners.

At Las Barrancas in the Men’s Silver league, Steve Gartner, B.J. McKay and Rollie Harris were the gross winners. Dennis Christopher, Dick Irving and Barney Kuensting won net. Lyle Chirstie, Bryan Boechler, Larry Garrett and Dennis Adair were the team winners. In the Copper league, Keith Planidin, Steve Gartner and B.J. McKay were the gross winners. Rollie Harris, Larry Nicholson and Larry Garrett won net. Larry Villa, Jack Joseph, Chris Hagen and M.K.Hovden were the team winners.

At Las Barrancas in the Women’s league, Dorothy Gartner and Sherry McIver were the gross winners. Barb Souter and Maribeth Evens won net. Linda McLaughlin, Marilyn Denny, Donna Laidlaw and Dawn Diamond were on the winning team.

At Foothills Executive in the Men’s league, Bill Taylor, Art McLaughlin and Butch Ritten were the gross winners. Pablo Montano, Larry Nicholson and Pat Mattieu won net. At Mesa del Sol in the Can Am Men’s league 3 net best ball format, Alan Young, Syd Smith Jerry Olson and Tom McFarland took first place with 76 points. Ron Breault, Art Brekkas, Steve Parrish and Duncan Fisk were second at 74. Bert Scott, Dave Givens, Wayne Webb and Bob Powell were third with 73 points.

At Mesa del Sol in the Moose Lodge scramble, Randy Stickles, Tom Oxtoby, Bill Johnson and Shirley Patterson shot 67 for the win. Steve Martin, Chuck Holland and Barb Chambers were second at 68. Ron Sodlink, Greg Edwards, Joey Christensen and Jerry Aaron were third at 71.

At Mesa del Sol in Krogman’s Follies, Rod Donner, Terry Matthews, Jerry Olson and Norm Berube won with 76 points. Ron Breault, Bert Scott and Fred Hancewiez were second with 75 points. Matt Whittaker, David Burtt, Garry Sletten and Gayle Mabey were third with 74. In the Mesa del Sol Men’s individual format, gross flight winners were Steve Martin, Hank Browning, Hugh Strain and Tim Segrest. Net flight winners were Gordon Little, John Droog, Carl Johnson and Tom Thorp.

At Mesa del Sol in the Ladies club 2-person best ball, points format flight winners were Shannon Mason and Colleen Scott, Marilyn Cotter and Phyllis Mashburn, Connie Donner and Elaine Corbet, and Dona Conselman and Carol Roland. Net flight winners were Cheryl Mikkola and Selma Cusick, Linda Scott and Louise Mabey, and Lorraine Breault and Jeanne Holloway.

At Mesa del Sol in the Men’s club 1 gross ball, 2 net ball competition, Ray Butler, Terry Matthews, Jerry Olson and Sam Samples won with a 9-under-par 207. Mike Mikkola, Steve Parrish, Jeffrey Sloboden and Bill Dowding were second at 210. Dale Smith, Dick Michael, Jack Henson and Tim Segrest were third at 211.

At Mesa del Sol in the Sunday Couples net best ball competition, Gary and Louise Ramm won with a 62. Sandy and Andy Hovanec were second with a 63.

Hole-in-one congratulations: Dee Larsen holed out in one on the sixth hole at Foothills Par 3.
