Kingman man arrested in fatal shooting in Mohave County
KINGMAN — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting in northwestern Arizona early Monday that’s being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.
Mohave County Sheriff’s officials said deputies responded to a Kingman home around 5 a.m. on reports of gunshots in the area.
They found a man dead in the roadway with gunshot wounds to the head, neck and face.
A shotgun and three spent shotgun shells were located near the victim’s body.
Deputies said 33-year-old Christopher Robin Kacos of Kingman was detained at the scene.
They said Kacos allegedly admitted his involvement in the shooting and was booked into the county jail on suspicion of seconddegree murder.
10-year-old Phoenix boy hit by gunfire in drive-by shooting
PHOENIX — Phoenix police are searching for the person responsible for critically injuring a 10-year-old boy in a drive-by shooting.
Authorities say the shooting happened at an apartment complex near 19th and Peoria avenues around 6:30 a.m. Monday. A man and his son were standing outside when a car approached and someone fired three rounds at them.
One bullet hit the boy. The father was not injured.
Paramedics took the boy to the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. His condition was not immediately known.
Police have not identified a suspect. The father told investigators he had no idea who shot at them.
