WHEN: Sunrise tailgate event. Park opens at 6 a.m., balloons launch at sunrise WHERE: West Wetlands Park – Enter from 1st Street and 22nd Avenue

GOING ON: Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, all events will be drive-through or tailgate events – the public will not be permitted on the field or launch area.

COST: Admission is a canned food donation for the Yuma Community Food Bank.

WHEN: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

WHERE: West Wetlands Park – Enter from 1st Street and 22nd Avenue

GOING ON: Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns, all events will be drive-through or tailgate events – the public will not be permitted on the field or launch area. Drive through and watch the balloons inflate as they are tethered and illuminate­d to music.

GOING ON: Checker’d Past will perform 80s hits in this outdoor, socially distanced event. BYO lawn chair and blankets and enjoy live music in a designated viewing spot big enough for 6 people.

GOING ON: Hosted by the Cabelleros de Yuma, this event features dance performanc­es, special guests, holiday cheer, Christmas carols and the annual Friendship Tower lighting ceremony by Yuma’s reigning Citizen of the Year. This year, social distancing requiremen­ts will be in place. Attendees are asked to bring blankets and chairs here they can sit 6 people to a number of designated squares on the field. A video screen will be available for viewing as well.
