Saturday Nov. 28 FUNDRAISER RUN

WHEN: Sign-in 9:30 to 11 a.m. WHERE: Start at Bobby’s Territoria­l Harley-Davidson, 2550 Gila Ridge Road

GOING ON: All vehicles welcome with five stops, last stop will be at Sage and Sand Cocktail Lounge, 2852 E. 16th St.; COVID protocols will be in place; raffle, prizes, 50/50 drawing; fundraiser will benefit Wreaths Across America

COST: $10 donation includes ticket for shotgun drawing

KEN AND BETTY BORLAND HOLIDAY PAGEANT AND TOWER LIGHTING CEREMONY

WHEN: Gates open at 6 p.m., and the event will begin at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Desert Sun Stadium

GOING ON: Hosted by the Cabelleros de Yuma, this event features dance performanc­es, special guests, holiday cheer, Christmas carols and the annual Friendship Tower lighting ceremony by Yuma’s reigning

Citizen of the Year. This year, social distancing requiremen­ts will be in place. Attendees are asked to bring blankets and chairs here they can sit 6 people to a number of designated squares on the field. A video screen will be available for viewing as well. COST: A canned food donation to benefit the Yuma Community Food Bank

GOING ON: Ballet Yuma will host their annual Sugar Plum Tea with story telling of the Nutcracker, select performanc­es by Ballet Yuma, treats and drinks, gift baskets for raffle, photos with Nutcracker characters; very limited seating available

Thursday Dec. 3 THE FREEDOM LIBRARY 24TH ANNUAL CONSTITUTI­ON FORUM

WHEN: 6-9 p.m.

WHERE: The Freedom Library, 2035 S. Arizona Ave., on the north end of the Yuma Sun building

GOING ON: The forum will feature the film, For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story, which is a true story of how one of the great trumpet players of our time escaped from Cuba. Scholarshi­ps will be awarded, and there will be a raffle and prizes. Participan­ts can also join in via Zoom.
