COYOTES 1, Blues 0: Darcy Kuemper stopped 24 shots, Clayton Keller scored and the Coyotes closed out their sevengame series against the Blues with a 1-0 win Monday. The shifting dynamics of playing hockey in a pandemic led to the Blues and Coyotes playing seven straight games against each other, a first in NHL or NBA regular-season history.

Islanders 3, SABRES 1: Semyon Varlamov stopped 20 shots and the New York Islanders extended their point streak to seven games with a 3-1 win over the COVID-19-depleted Buffalo Sabres, who were playing their first game in two weeks on Monday night.

Senators 6, MAPLE LEAFS 5 (OT): Evgenii Dadonov scored his second goal of the game in overtime and the Senators overcame a four-goal deficit to win for the first time in franchise history, stunning the Maple Leafs 6-5 on Monday.

Panthers 6, LIGHTNING 4: Jonathan Huberdeau scored and led a balanced attack that included goals from six players, and the Florida Panthers gained on Central Division-leading Tampa Bay with a 6-4 victory over the Lightning on Monday night. Florida won two of the three games between the teams in a five-day span and pulled within a point of the Lightning in the standings.

HURRICANES 7, Blue Jackets 3: Brock McGinn and Teuvo Teravainen scored 26 seconds apart in the second period as the Carolina Hurricanes erased an early deficit and beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 7-3 on Monday night. McGinn finished with two goals and two assists, and Teravainen added three assists.

Blackhawks 3, RED WINGS 2 (OT): Dominik Kubalik scored his second goal of the game 4:43 into overtime, and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 on Monday night. Kubalik and Mattias Janmark staked the Blackhawks to a two-goal lead in the first period that they slowly lost before stepping up in the extra session.

Predators at STARS, ppd. The Dallas Stars postponed their home game Monday night against the Nashville Predators after a request from city officials not to play because of the impact extreme winter weather had on the area. The game was set to be the fifth of the Stars’ season-long eight-game homestand. No makeup date was announced.

Jets at OILERS, late: The Oilers are 9-7-0 against the rest of their division. Edmonton is seventh in the NHL averaging 3.4 goals per game. The Jets are 8-5-1 against the rest of their division. Winnipeg ranks ninth in the NHL averaging 3.4 goals per game.

Flames at CANUCKS, late: The Canucks are 7-11-0 in division play. Vancouver leads the league recording 31.4 shots per game while averaging 2.9 goals. The Flames are 7-6-1 in division games. Calgary has converted on 21.8% of powerplay opportunit­ies, scoring 12 power-play goals.

Ducks at SHARKS, late: The Sharks have gone 5-7-1 against division opponents. San Jose averages 9.5 penalty minutes per game, the 10th-most in the NHL. The Ducks are 6-6-3 against West Division opponents. Anaheim scores 1.9 goals per game, the fewest in the league.
