Joseph Adelbert “Del” Schreiber

Joseph Adelbert “Del” Schreiber, 90 years of age, passed peacefully surrounded by members of his family on February 19, 2021.

Del was preceded in death one year ago by Jeanene, his wife of 67 years.

Del spent most of his career in computer science starting in the 1960's at Amalgamate­d Sugar, then Granite School District in

Salt Lake City and retired as director of data processing for the Boulder Valley School District in Boulder, Colorado. He was an active member of the LDS church for all of his life and was a member of the bishopric in Longmont, Colorado and after retirement in Yuma, Arizona. Del was a member of the Naval Reserve and retired after 30 years of service. He then joined the Army National Guard for 3 years and was honorably discharged. After retirement Del kept busy with genealogy, trained and served as a volunteer tax preparer for seniors in Yuma for many years.

Del is survived by his son Jeffrey of San Diego, California, his daughters Dellene Stonehocke­r of Salt Lake City, Utah, Leslie Schreiber of Longmont, Colorado, Tracy Anderson of Rosamond, California, Melinda McGowan of Salt Lake City, Utah and Kristie Scroggin of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Friends and family are invited to join together in sharing memories of Del's life on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Berg Orem Chapel, 500 North State Street,

Orem, Utah from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. Grave side services will be held thereafter at 12:30 p.m. at the Orem City Cemetery, 1500 North 800 East, Orem, Utah where Del will be interred next to Jeanene.
