Margaret Mesa

February 18, 1935 - March 15, 2021

Margaret passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021 at Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ surrounded by her children. She was 86 years old.

Margaret M. Mesa was born on February 18, 1935 to Higinio and Rita Madrid in Yuma, AZ. She married Joe Mesa on March 17, 1957 and had 4 children. Margaret worked as a citrus laborer for over 50 years. She loved to cook, crochet and watch her children & grand children play sports. She especially loved to spoil her dogs and cat.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Higinio Madrid and Rita Perez, her sister Ofelia Madrid, brothers Higinio (Junior) Madrid and David Perez, and her loving husband Joe Aldaz Mesa.

She is survived by her sisters, Alice(Licha) (Mauro) Vela, Anita(Chuni) Rios, Maria(Tati) Perez, Helen(Lena) Madrid and brother Tony (Peewee) Perez, children Joe (Barbara) Mesa Jr., Frank Mesa, Michael (Stacey)

Mesa and Patty Mesa, 15 grand children, 12 great grand children and many nephews and nieces.

There will be a viewing and rosary at Yuma Mortuary Chapel, 775 S 5th Ave on Thursday March 25, 2021 from 5pm - 9pm. Rosary will begin at 7pm. Masks required and space is limited. The funeral mass will take place Friday March 26, 2021, 11am at Yuma Mortuary Chapel with the burial following at Desert Lawn Memorial, 1415 S 1st Ave. Masks are required and space will be limited.

Pallbearers will be Frank Mesa Jr., Joseph Mesa Jr., Mark Mesa, Mannix Ramirez, Zach Mesa and Patrick Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are Gavin Mesa, Tyson Brooks, Isais Rodriguez, Lincoln Mesa, Noah Mesa, Reagan & Parker Quigg.
