Anna McInturf

-

Anna McInturf known to a few as “Annie” and to many as “Casey” was born in 1952 and went to Heaven on March 18th. Anna spent most of her life in Yuma. She graduated from Kofa High School, married Larry Casey and had two daughters. She attended Arizona Western and graduated with a nursing degree in 1984. In the years following she obtained her Baccalaureate in Nursing and dual Masters degrees. She worked at the local hospital for 35 years serving in many roles and caring for a vast array of patients. In the many years she worked at the hospital she served the longest on the heart team and enjoyed it the most. She loved nursing and after retiring from the hospital went to work parttime with Dr. Curry.

Anna enjoyed outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, skiing, and most of all driving her RZR side by side. She was an avid reader and enjoyed domestic and international travel. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She worked hard to instill the importance of education, independence and responsibility in her children and grandchildren, and she was a living example of all three.

Anna was preceded in death by her mother (Maxine), father (Jesse) and step-father (Bill).

She is survived by her brother (Jesse), daughters (Meagan/Jake Thomas) (Leigh Ann/Jarrett Howell), Grandchildren (Caleigh, Annalee, Wyatt and Colton) and niece/great nephew (Jessica and Dexter).

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday April 10th, 2021 starting at 5 pm at the Thomas residence. Please sign the guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/yumasun
