Guadalupe G. Flores "Ruby"

May 12, 1943 - March 23, 2021

- Please sign the guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/yumasun

Ruby was born May 12, 1943, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend, was a gentle soul. Friendly and forever “worried” about her family she rejoined our Heavenly Father on March 23, 2021 (77).

Ruby thoroughly enjoyed working with her clients and colleagues at Yuma County Housing Authority “Yellow Camp” in Somerton where she first retired as a Section 8 Housing Specialist. She often remembered and reminisced about her many friends she met through her work. She had a second career at a much slower pace as an accounts payable clerk at Yuma Elementary School District No 1. Having been truly retired for many years she enjoyed daily readings of her Bible, talking on the phone with her sisters, son, daughters, grandchildren and friends.

She always spoke of moving back “home” to Sanger, Ca. with her sisters, but didn't want to leave her daughters, granddaughter and great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Garza, mother Herminia Guerrero Garza, son Jonathan Flores and will be buried with her mother in the Sanger Cemetery. She leaves behind two sisters: Delia (David) Rivera and Zenayda “Sally” (Amador) Reyna; children: son Peter (Tami) Flores, daughters Brenda Flores, Renee (Jamie) Sheldahl, Audra Flores. Grandchildren: Tracy (Adam) Fairfield, Jonathan (Angela) Sheldahl, Ariel Flores, and Jordan Sheldahl; great granddaughter: Mulan Fonseca.

She believed she would be reunited with her beloved family in heaven. So until we see you again, we will miss you, but know you are in a better place.
