Saturday April 24 YUMA CIVIC ORCHESTRA CONCERT

WHEN: 7 p.m.

WHERE: Arizona Western College Amphitheat­er

INFO: The Yuma Civic Concert is performing after a more than yearlong hiatus forced by the pandemic. The first – and only – public performanc­e for the orchestra this season. Tickets will be sold at the concert for a suggested donation of $10. For more informatio­n, call 928-487-1344.

DEA NATIONAL PRESCRIPTI­ON TAKE-BACK DAY

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Foothills Substation, 13190 E. South Frontage Road

GOING ON: YCSO will take any medication­s for disposal. The service is anonymous, no questions asked. Expired, unused, and unwanted prescripti­on drugs, including tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescripti­on drugs, can be dropped off, as well as vaping devices and cartridges provided lithium batteries are removed. Liquids, syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.

Tuesday April 27 FREEDOM LIBRARY ROUND TABLE TAKEOVER

WHEN: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

WHERE: Round Table Pizza, 2544 W. 16th St. GOING ON: Round Table will donate a portion of all sales to the Freedom Library

NO EXCUSE FOR ABUSE MOTORCYCLE FUN RUN PRESENTED BY FREE WIND

WHEN: Registrati­on begins at 9 a.m., kickstands up at 10 a.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Event starts at Bobby’s Territoria­l Harley Davidson, 2550 Gila Ridge Road. GOING ON: Be a voice for need – all proceeds from the event will benefit Amberly’s Place and the victims served in our community.
