Saturday Oct. 23 DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

WHEN: 1-5 p.m.

WHERE: Yuma Territoria­l Prison, 22 Prison Hill Road

GOING ON: Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with music, face painting for the kids, folkloric dancers, an artwalk and more. There will also be a display of altars and vendors on scene.

BRIDGET’S GIFT WESTERN DANCE & BBQ

GOING ON: County music artists

Ray Allen, Coffey Anderson, Tanner Gomes and Bobby McClendon will play at the 10th annual event that raises funds to battle breast cancer. MAYORS’ BINATIONAL BIKE RIDE WHEN: Registrati­on begins at 7 a.m., the ride starts at 8 a.m.

WHERE: The east end of the Yuma Civic Center parking lot, 1440 W. Desert Hills Drive

GOING ON: This family-friendly bike ride starts in Yuma and finishes in

San Luis Rio Colorado, Son., with stops scheduled every 5 to 10 miles. Mayor Doug Nicholls and leaders from 4FrontED founded this event to unite communitie­s and showcase the region. This year’s ride is hosted by the mayors and elected officials from Yuma County and the cities of Yuma, Somerton, San Luis, Wellton, and San Luis Rio Colorado, as well as the Fort Yuma Quechan and Cocopah tribes. The mayors of Calexico, Mexicali and Puerto Penasco and the Mexican Consulate will also participat­e this year. If you plan on crossing the border, please bring proper documentat­ion to return to the U.S.
