Theodore (Ted) Schauer, 87, went to his heavenly home on November 1,

2021, after a brief illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Ted was born on May 3, 1934, to Ervin & Naomi (Bremer) Schauer in the small farming community of Fair Haven, MN.

He graduated from Kimball

High School in 1952. In

1953 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in which he served proudly and honorably for 30 years. On August 11, 1956, he married the love of his life, Arlene Triebel. They had 4 children all the while moving from duty station to duty station, and tours in Vietnam. The 2 oldest went to 9 different schools by the time they reached the 9th grade.

After retirement from the Marine Corp, Ted went on to work for several small businesses. He loved doing paperwork and organizing. In 2009, he retired from his last full-time job at F.I.R.M., Inc. At that time, he and Arlene began to travel extensively. Hawaii being one of their favorite destinations. They took many cruises and traveled all over the world. Spain, Thailand, Austria, New Zealand, and Australia to name a few countries. They also enjoyed having extended visits with their children and grandkids around the country.

Ted loved to play cards. While playing cards he had a very special way of putting his tongue in cheek and he would get a little smirk on his face to indicate he was going to pull a fast one on you and set you. He loved to laugh and get us, especially his daughters-in-law.

His love of God and his deep faith led him to be involved in his church, Calvary Lutheran Church, where he served as President for 3 years and Treasurer for 16 years.

Ted is survived by his wife, Arlene, of 65 years, his 4 children, Diana Schauer, Yuma, AZ. Steven

(Susan) Schauer, Oswago, IL., Douglas (Sherry) Schauer, Flagstaff, AZ. and Roxana Williams,

Phoenix, AZ. 7 Grandchildren, Mikey, Jacob, Bradley, Joshua, Sarah, Sloane, Stevana, 2 Greatgrandchildren, Deckon and Joleigh. 2 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Willie, 3 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law.
