Yolanda "Rudy" Ramos

Yolanda "Rudy" Ramos, 76, passed away Friday, November 12th 2021 in
Casa Grande, AZ.
She was born in Yuma, AZ on September 17th, 1945. Where she attended school. Yolanda married Felix Ramos in 1964 and had 4 children.
Yolanda worked various jobs but she had found her passion in education.
Yolanda loved working with children from preschool age to junior high level. She had a special gift when it came to working with children and was determined to make every child she worked with feel loved and cared for. Yolanda worked for Yuma School District 1 as a
Special Education Paraprofessional for 25 years retiring from Gwyneth Ham Elementary School in 2006. After retirement she continued to work with various agencies specializing in children with special needs.
After the death her husband Felix in 2014, Yolanda moved to Casa Grande, Arizona to live with her daughter and family. While living in Casa Grande, Yolanda continued to share her love and joy of children working at Bright Beginning Learning Center and Childcare with her daughter for 7 years as the assistant director. She loved being around all the children and became known as Grandma Rudy to everyone because she treated every child like family.
Yolanda loved working with children, but her first love was her family. She was always there for anyone who needed to hear any words of inspiration, to listen to you or just a warm hug. Yolanda was an extremely fun and loving woman that would light up a room with her smile. Yolanda was never shy to make new make friends wherever she went with her loving personality. During her retirement years Yolanda enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Yolanda will be truly missed by everyone.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Ramos, son Cecilio Ramos, mother Viola Doten and infant daughter Viola.
She is survived by her daughter Chrissy (Dustin) Roll, son Roland, granddaughters Gina (David) Smith, Jocelyn Roll and Grandson Anthony Roll and four great grandchildren, Lacey, Nathan, Aleah, and Derek.
Visitation at 5:00pm on Friday, December 3rd, 2021, followed by Rosary at 7:00pm at Desert Valley Mortuary 138 N Avenue B, Somerton, AZ. Services at Desert Valley Mortuary to follow on December 4th at 10am with Burial at 12pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
