Randall Gillis Menta, 76, passed away at Yuma Regional Medical Center on November 25, 2021 surrounded by all his loved ones. Born July 30, 1945, at Ft. Yuma Indian hospital in Winterhave­n California to Eunice Wheeler-Menta and Joe Menta.

He attended San Pasqual

High School then later joined the Army in served in the Vietnam War. He received 3 medals for National Defense service medal, Vietnam service medal with three bronze service stars Republic Vietnam campaign medal sharpshoot­er medal (Rifle). He married Arlette Roosevelt and resided on the Ft. Yuma Indian Reservatio­n where he worked as a Carpenter for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Arlette Menta, his four daughters Marena Menta (Frank), Lyna Menta (Lyndsey), Kelli Roosevelt (Dylan) all of the Fort Yuma Reservatio­n, Virginia Menta (Jason) of Yuma Az. His two sons Anthony Roosevelt (Katie), of Canada and Taylor Menta of Ft. Yuma Reservatio­n 34 grandchild­ren and 3 great grandchild­ren. Brothers Joseph Menta of Yuma, Az. Merrill Menta (Charlene) of Flagstaff, Az. Sisters Eileen Menta (Wallace), Lenora Kelly (Merrill) of Fort Yuma Indian Reservatio­n.

Randall loved spending his time with his family. His children, grandchild­ren, and great grandchild­ren where his world and he would go above and beyond for any of them. Randall was the best father/ Grandfathe­r In the world, and he is going to be missed so much by all of us. We love you daddy, always and forever.

Randall is preceded in death by his Father Joe Menta, Mother Eunice Wheeler Menta, his two sons Joseph Roosevelt Sr., Emile Jose Roosevelt and 2 grandchild­ren.

Pallbearer­s will be Varian Kelly, Ryan Marks, Brandon Marks, JT Nerva, Toby Nerva James Mills, Andrew Rivera, Jerrod Kelly, Randall Menta, William Hernandez, Dylan Emerson, Benjamin Roosevelt, Deon Twist, Adam Emerson, Walter Hall, and Frank Hernandez.

Services will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Quechan Big House From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with cremation at 5:00 pm.
