The fate of Horseshoe Bay and all its residents rests in the hands of Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and her Drew Crew, as they put their heads together to find a way to defeat their most powerful nemesis yet in the Season 3 finale, “The Ransom of the Forsaken Soul.” Ultimately, a star-crossed choice will change everything forever as lives and hearts are placed in supernatur­al jeopardy. Janet Jackson.

Airing over two consecutiv­e nights to mark the 40th anniversar­y of the release of “Janet Jackson,” her first album, this four-hour documentar­y presents an intimate and surprising­ly unfiltered portrait of one of the bestsellin­g female artists in music history. Director Ben Hirsch’s film takes Jackson all the way back to her Gary, Ind., hometown as it chronicles everything from her breakout 1989 success with the anthem “Rhythm Nation” to her notorious Super Bowl wardrobe malfunctio­n and her close relationsh­ip with her late brother, Michael.

Saturday 6:30 p.m. on ABC NBA Basketball

NBA Finals preview, anyone? Two of the league’s top teams get down to business tonight at Chase Center, where Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors hope the home court is to their advantage against Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets, at this writing the No. 2 seed in the East, recently got a big boost with the return of star point guard Kyrie Irving — for road games, anyway. The Dubs, meanwhile, are the top team in the West with seven-time AllStar Curry leading the way.

Great Chocolate Showdown

This tasty new cooking competitio­n, a Canadian import, showcases 10 amateur home bakers as they compete in a series of themed challenges built around chocolate baking and confection­s. A typical episode opens with an initial Technique Test, followed by a Chocolate Eliminatio­n Challenge. The season’s winner receives a grand prize of $50,000. Steven Hodge, Anna Olson and Cynthia Stroud are the judges.

7 p.m. on ABC Celebrity Wheel of Fortune This primetime edition of one of TV’s most venerable game shows wraps up Season 2 as hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna

White welcome their final trio of celebritie­s who will spin the show’s signature Wheel to win cash for their chosen charities. Guests for tonight’s finale include NFL gridiron star Von Miller, playing for Von’s Vision, his nonprofit organizati­on that provides Denver-area youth with eye exams and eyewear; actress and author Ali Wentworth, competing on behalf of Good Plus Foundation; and actress Laverne Cox, playing for Trans Justice Funding Project.

11 p.m. on SHOW We Need to Talk About Cosby

This new four-part docuseries from filmmaker and comic W. Kamau Bell takes an in-depth look at the successful early career of actor and comic Bill Cosby, followed by his shocking personal descent. A multiple Emmy winner, Cosby attained the affectiona­te title of “America’s Dad” thanks to his blockbuste­r NBC sitcom, but more recently gained infamy as a criminal defendant in a sexual-assault prosecutio­n. This series explores the complicate­d story of Cosby’s life and work, incorporat­ing interviews with comics, journalist­s, cultural commentato­rs and women who allege harrowing encounters with the actor.

Kids Baking Championsh­ip

An episode that’s always a fan favorite — the dessert imposters challenge — arrives with the new “BBQ LOL OMG,” wherein hosts and judges Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask their young bakers to create grilled dessert imposters with side dishes, like ribs with mac ’n’ cheese or hot dogs and baked beans. The least successful contestant goes home at the end of the episode.

10 p.m. on TNT Snowpierce­r

Layton (Daveed Diggs) goes on the hunt, while Wilford (Sean Bean) places his own focus on working to boost morale aboard the train in the new episode

“The Last to Go.” Meanwhile, the members of the Resistance discover a threat that could undermine everything they’ve worked for. Iddo Goldberg, Mickey Sumner, Alison Wright and Lena Hall also star.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

New friend Traci Johnson joins familiar Housewives Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Jackie Goldscheid­er and Jennifer Aydin as this long-running reality series opens Season 12. After years of marital turmoil, a resilient Teresa is pondering moving in with boyfriend Luis and blending their families. Elsewhere, Margaret is dealing with some guilt after revealing an Aydin family secret, causing pain

to Jennifer. Meanwhile, Jackie finally is forced to confront her eating disorder.

Wednesday 7 p.m. on CBS Big Brother: Celebrity Edition

Julie Chen Moonves returns as host for this third round of its celebrity-driven edition, of one of the network’s biggest reality show hits. This season’s threeweek run comprises 15 episodes (two more than Seasons 1 and 2), culminatin­g in a finale on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Among this season’s featured Houseguest­s are singer-songwriter­s Ne-Yo and Todrick Hall, fitness expert Jillian Michaels, former Trump White House communicat­ions director Hope Hicks, drag personalit­y Shangela, former pro basketball star Lamar Odom and celebrity chef Curtis Stone.

10 p.m. on SHOW Movie: Footloose

Kevin Bacon stars in this buoyant 1984 musical-drama as a rebellious teenager with a passion for dancing. When he moves from Chicago to a small Midwestern town where dancing is prohibited, primarily by a clergyman (John Lithgow), he rallies the townspeopl­e to get the ban lifted. Lori Singer and Dianne Wiest co-star as the minister’s daughter and wife, and Sarah Jessica Parker also appears. The score includes Kenny Loggins’ hit title tune, along with “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” and “Holding Out for a Hero.” A 2011 remake immediatel­y follows.

Thursday 11:05 p.m. on HBO Movie: Malignant

James Wan, creator of “The Conjuring” cinematic franchise, directed this 2021 psychodram­a starring Annabelle Wallis (TV’s “Peaky Blinders”) as a woman who begins to have harrowing visions of people being violently murdered. Only belatedly does she realize the killings actually are happening in real life as well. Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, Jean Louisa Kelly, Susanna Thompson and Christian Clemenson also are featured.
