At the age of 17, Paul enlisted in the Army in 1945. He bravely fought in the Korean War and retired honorably as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service.

Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory daughter Paula McVey, brother Harold Buzis Sr, daughters-inlaw Linda and Pamela Buzis, grandchildren Jeffrey McVey, Summer (Cory) Mellon, Christina Buzis

(Jason), Rebecca (Nate) Wood, Brooke Buzis, Katie Buzis (Tyler). Seven great grandchildren, Ryan Buzis, Emmaline and Lorelei Mellon, Katelyn and Brayden Wood, Madisyn Buzis and Kierstyn Clemensen, as well as many loved nieces and nephews whom he held close to his heart including his companion Edie Robins.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nadine Buzis, his sons Richard and Jeff Buzis, grandson Brian Buzis, parents, brothers, sisters as well as several family members and close friends.

A man of many names Paul, Dad, Popeye, Buzz, was the patriarch of our family, the social butterfly who became friends with everyone he met. He took great pride in teaching his grandchildren how to play poker, win and gloat, belly laugh silently, hunt and fish and how to make a bed you could bounce a quarter off of. He was consistently present at holidays, school events and any other reason to show love and support for the family. He will be remembered for his laughter, devotion to his family, love of life and infinite strength. His passing will leave a void in every life he touched.

A service honoring the life of Paul will be held at Journey Church on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 am.
