“You Can’t Judge!” — Said when Desiring Tolerance of Wrongdoing #2

-

God’s Word is truth (Jo. 17:17). Society is running amuck and yet some continue to deny there is such a thing as “righteous judgment” (cf. Jo. 7:24; Jo. 12:48). Man’s not judging fails in thinking being tolerant of, or saying nothing at all towards wrongdoing is best. As the misnamed “socialjustice” movement began spreading through society and churches--- a tolerance of immoralities and immoral lifestyles was proclaimed with, “You can’t judge!”

When seeking tolerance of wrongdoing you will hear, “Jesus told us not to judge in Mat. 7:1.” No, Jesus never said for us not to judge righteously! He said, Mat. 7:1 “Judge not, that you be not judged.” Mat. 7:2 “For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” That there is a measure or standard to be measured back to you by God shows the necessity of judging correctly by His Word (Jo. 7:24). In fact, it was hypocritical judging Jesus condemned here. He said, Mat. 7:5 “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” So then, judge correctly without failing both yourself and then the one you seek to help! He warned about false teachers to be avoided who come in sheep’s clothing but are inwardly ravenous wolves (Mat. 7:15). He says you will know them by their fruits (Mat. 7:1620). Now, how else are they known other than having been judged by their bad fruit!
