In a new episode with the creepy title “Trapped With the Dead,” Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin investigate a hotbed of paranormal activity at a Wild West-era hotel in New Mexico. Later, the crew then travels to Los Angeles to visit a former military base that was the site of an alleged extraterrestrial invasion.

8 p.m. on LIFE Movie: Jailbreak Lovers
Inspired by a true story, this h 2022 drama stars Catherine Bell (“Good Witch”) as Toby, a conservative woman who grew up always following the rules. After she loses her job, Toby still tries to do the right thing by starting a non-profit charity to rescue and rehabilitate abused dogs at a local prison. That benevolent effort leads to an encounter with John (Tom Stevens, “The 100”), a younger inmate and convicted murderer. It’s only the first of several bad decisions, and soon the couple is on the run.
10 p.m. on TRAV Portals to Hell
The Season 3 finale follows host and paranormal sleuth Jack Osbourne as he travels to Sycamore, Ohio, in response to a distress call from a man who used to work as Jack’s manny. Now this gentleman and his wife run the Enchanted Church, a former house of worship that has been converted into a residential building. The couple needs Jack’s help to determine if the paranormal activity they’re experiencing on the premises is holy or hellish in nature.

8 p.m. on KAET Endeavour on Masterpiece
This beloved police prequel wraps up its frustratingly short eighth season with a finale called “Terminus,” which opens in November of 1971, when an Oxford don is murdered shortly after disembarking a bus. It’s a brutal killing that reminds Thursday (Roger Allam) of another crime from a few years ago. Noting that Morse (Shaun Evans) is still grappling with personal demons and not suitable to join this investigation, Thursday sends his sergeant home.
10 p.m. on FOOD Beachside Brawl
Host Antonia Lofaso challenges the chefs to create delicious summer eats for Independence Day in the new episode “4th of July Party.” As the competition heats up, chef mentors Tiffani Faison and Brooke Williamson lead their teams to create the ultimate burger.

10 p.m. on CMT CMT Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th Concert
Originating live from downtown Nashville, this festive Independence Day event opens with a concert from Old Dominion, followed by one of the largest fireworks displays in the United States. The Nashville Symphony will provide musical counterpoint to the dazzling pyrotechnics, which will air without commercial interruption. Cody Alan serves as host for the 90-minute special.
8 p.m. on KAET America Outdoors With Baratunde Thurston
This new six-part travel and adventure series follows bestselling author and outdoor enthusiast Baratunde Thurston on an exploration of America’s diverse regions, to discover how those landscapes shape the way Americans work, play and interact with the natural world. The series premiere, “Death Valley: Life Blooms,” takes viewers to the hottest place in the world, which nonetheless is remarkably filled with life. As Thurston seeks out visitors who embrace this national park’s heat, isolation and natural beauty, he meets a marathon runner and the mayor of a town of one.
9 p.m. on KAET The Great Muslim American Road Trip
This new three-episode docuseries follows a young Muslim American couple — rapper Mona Haydar and her husband, Sebastian Robins — as they explore historic Route 66 on the 2,500-mile drive from Chicago to Los Angeles. In addition to experiencing the breathtaking panoramas and roadside attractions along America’s “mother road,” Haydar and Robins also want to learn about Islam’s surprisingly deep roots in the United States. Tonight’s premiere takes them from Chicago to Joplin, Mo., a leg that causes some bumps in their relationship. The series continues over the next two Tuesdays.
Wednesday 8:30 p.m. on CBS The Challenge: USA
This special edition of a global reality show franchise pits 28 fan favorites from some of CBS’ biggest competition shows — “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race,” “Big Brother” and “Love Island” — against each other in a series of grueling tests, both physical and mental. In tonight’s 90-minute premiere, the players all are given $1,000 to start their individual challenge account, but they must win challenges or eliminate another player to add to that sum. In each episode, an algorithm pairs each twosome to square off in that challenge. T.J. Lavin is the host.
9 p.m. on HIST Forged in Fire
“Gladiators of the Forge: Let the Battles Begin” launches a five-episode event wherein the forge is transformed into a gladiatorial arena for an unprecedented competition. In the opening battle, two smiths are tasked with forging a Roman Era Falx, a sickle-like implement. The more successful smith is crowned the victor for that round and moves on to confront a fresh opponent for a shot at winning the most money ever awarded in the forge: $75,000.
Thursday
8 p.m. on ABC Generation Gap
Kelly Ripa is host for this new comedy quiz show from megaproducer Mark Burnett (“Survivor”) and talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel. Each episode pairs teams of grandparents and grandkids, who are challenged to answer questions about pop culture shows, movies, music and personalities from each other’s generations.
10 p.m. on FREE Good Trouble
In a new episode called “What I Wouldn’t Give for Love,” a nervous Davia (Emma Hunton) finally summons enough courage to tell Dennis (Josh Pence) about her true feelings for him. Meanwhile, Malika (Zuri Adele) struggles to accept that Angelica (Yasmine Aker) is seeing other people, and Alice (Sherry Cola) hires a new manager. Elsewhere, the FCG throws a party to celebrate the launch of their app, and Luca considers accepting Davia’s offer of a home.
