Ernesto Ybarra Munoz, 80, of Yuma, AZ passed away on Jan. 30, 2023 at Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Ernesto was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Yuma, AZ.

Wake will be held on Feb. 15, 2023 at Desert Valley Mortuary Chapel from 5pm to 9pm with Rosary at 7pm.

Mass will be on Feb. 16, 2023 Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 11am followed by burial at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at 12:30pm.

Arrangements were handled by and entrusted to Desert Valley Mortuary .

Barkley David Root, Sr.

Barkley David Root, Sr., age 73, of Yuma, AZ, passed away on Feb. 6, 2023 in Yuma, AZ.

Barkley was a Construction Maintenance Supervisor. He was born Feb. 6, 1950 in Estherville, Iowa.

Celebration of Life is pending at a later date. Arrangements and cremation were entrusted to and handled by Desert Valley Mortuary & Crematory .

Oscar is a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a Correctional Officer for California State Government, he was born on Oct. 30, 1952 in Mexicali, B.C., Mx.

Wake will be held on Feb. 20, 2023, 5pm with Rosary at 7pm at Yuma Mortuary Chapel.

Mass will be Feb. 21, 2023 at 10am at St. John Neumann Church.
