Hua Tạt - nơi đa số đồng bào H’mông của anh đang sinh sống. Anh trở thành đầu tàu trong việc quảng bá văn hoá, bản sắc của đồng bào mình đến du khách thông qua homestay của gia đình.

First, I visited Kon Bring, a village of the Mo Nam people. They are so unexpectedly lovely and friendly. After walking around seeing their houses and fields, we were invited into one house. The owner happily taught us the local language and the stories about life, about Tet and about things that have happened in this land. The strange food and beverage helped to mesmerize us in the interesting stories. The kitchen smoke, the bowls of noodles and the cozy atmosphere made the chilly wooden stilt house much warmer that day. And I kept looking at the children, who were born in the remote mountains with beautifully naive eyes and sunny smiles and they captivated my heart...

Leaving the village of Kon Pring, we drove back fast because the sun had begun to set. While thinking about dinner, we suddenly became enthralled by the sunset of Mang Den. We decided to stop by a field to watch the brilliant sunset in the freezing cold. The sky of Mang Den quietly reddened and then slowly darkened and we closely watched it until it turned completely into a night.

In nearly 5oc weather, with hungry stomachs, we went to Xuyen Tieu hotpot restaurant at the suggestion of the homestay manager. Entering the restaurant, we immediately felt the warm atmosphere as compared to the cold outside. Remembering now, I still find the restaurant’s rules hilarious: “Do not drink alcohol” and “Do not use profanity or swear in front of the children”... And I must admit that its food was delicious anyway! Although there

of our youth, our campfire was blazing. The warmth from the sparks of fire in the Central Highlands, the coffee cups and our hands, and the smiles of our friends, made me suddenly hear a whisper somewhere inside my heart, “I love my country, my homeland a little more…”
