Leave PF peacefully, Kambwili told

-

By MUKOSELA KASALWE EXPELLED Patriotic Front member Chishimba Kambwili should seek peace with the party or leave peacefully if he so wishes, says Youth Aid chairperson Kachenga Chungu.

Mr Chungu urged Mr Kambwili to make peace with his colleagues in the PF or leave the party peacefully if he so wished because he shared the good and bad times with the party.

He said the Roan Member of Parliament had taken a right step by seeking reconciliation with the people of Southern Province whom he had offended through his words and conduct while he was minister.

In an interview yesterday, Mr Chungu said it was commendable that Mr Kambwili had realised his wrongs and for having shown a desire to correct them even though some section of society viewed his apology as a political gymnastic.

Mr Chungu said the fall of Mr Kambwili from the high tables of grace was a lesson to political players and human beings at large that “pride comes before a fall.”

“As Youth Aid we urge Mr Kambwili to make peace with his former bosses and colleagues in the PF or leave if he so wishes because they both shared the same plate,

“We believe all political players have learnt a lesson or two from what has transpired in recent times and I pray that they become wise,” he said.

He said it was sad that politicians such as Dr Saviour Chishimba could do anything to gain cheap political mileage instead of bringing out relevant national matters.

Mr Chungu implored Dr Chishimba to learn to speak intelligently as well as conscientiously and criticise the government constructively on their inadequacies unlike speaking in the heat of the moment.

He said politicians in Zambia today were talking mountains and performing anthills and that the decision by the police to discontinue the case of Dr Chishimba was done in good faith as he was not worth chasing after.
