IDC suspends Mulungushi chief

-

By AARON CHIYANZO THE Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is alleged to have asked Mulungushi International Conference Centre manager Chishimba Kabwe to vacate his office for alleged sexual abuse of workers.

But Mr Kabwe said that the IDC had asked him to vacate his office to pave way for investigations in the allegations.

He dispelled claims being reported in some sections of the media that he was being disciplined for alleged misconduct.

Mr Kabwe warned that he would sue and demand huge compensation from people who were circulating unsubstantiated information against him to serve as a lesson.

He explained that despite the allegations made against him, there was so far no credible evidence to prove the claims.

Mr Kabwe reiterated that the allegations had tarnished his image and standing in society, especially that he was a competent and highly experience manager for a credible institution.

He said that he was also a happily married family man and that the allegations had turned his life upside down.

“The same allegations have highly tarnished my image and standing in society, especially that besides being a competent and highly experienced manager for a credible institution like Mulungushi, I am a happily married family man,” he said.

Mr Kabwe urged people who were commenting on the matter to desist and allow the free flow of the investigations.

He said that people should allow the investigative process to take its course rather than portraying him in the eyes of the public as if already guilty and being punished.
