CONCENTRATE ON YOUR POLITICAL PARTY, KAMBWILI TOLD
By ROGERS KALERO CHISHIMBA Kambwili should concentrate on the new party formed with PF losing Chimwemwe parliamentary candidate Mwenya Musenge, instead of focusing on attacking the Patriotic Front (PF), the party’s national youth chairman, Stephen Kampyongo has said.
Mr Kampyongo, who is also Home Affairs minister, said Mr Kambwili and Mr Musenge have formed the National Democratic Congress Party (NDCP) which they should focus on, instead of holding press briefings to vent their frustrations on the PF government.
"I have heard Mr Kambwili attacking Information Minister Kampamba Mulenga and Honourable Chiteme, but my advice to Mr Kambwili is to concentrate on their newlyformed party, instead of attacking PF ministers and MPs.
Mr Kampyongo has also challenged Mr Kambwili to tell the nation what he did for the youth when he served as PF national youth chairman, instead of trying to gain political mileage through worthless political tantrums. Mr Kampyongo said, instead of challenging President Lungu to disclose the source of the Presidential Empowerment Initiative Fund (PEIF), Mr Kambwili should reflect on his attitude when he served as minister and tell the nation what he did for the youth when he was PF national youth chairman.
Mr Kampyongo was reacting to Dr Kambwili's series of attacks on President Lungu, some PF Members of Parliament and Ministers.
Mr Kampyongo said in an interview that it was sad that Dr Kambwili was trying to gain political mileage through worthless political tantrums, instead of going for retreat to chart the way forward regarding his political career.
"Why is Kambwili so bitter with PF and President Lungu today after being fired and expelled from the party? Why was he not demanding for the source of the PEIF when he was a minister? It actually doesn't make sense to start attacking policies and programmes which you were defending less than six months ago," Mr Kampyongo said.
