SINAZONGWE RESIDENTS WANT MAAMBA-BATOKA ROAD WORKS

By KALOBWE BWALYA THE PEOPLE of Sinazongwe have appealed to minister of Finance, Felix Mutati to consider allocating funds in the 2018 national budget towards the constructi­on of Maamba-Batoka road.

UPND Sinazongwe district spokespers­on George Bbabbi said, the Maamba-Batoka road becomes pathetic and impassable during rainy season and Sinazongwe is always cut off from the rest of the country because it was easily flooded.

Mr Bbabbi said the road being an economical one, there is an urgent need to work on the road before the onset of the rains.

He said Government was getting alot of revenue from the district, hence the people of Sinazongwe were hoping that this time around they would a fair share the national cake by making sure that this important road is worked on fully and not partching it.

Mr Bbabbi also said people are expecting government to revamp the Buleya -Malima irrigation situated in chief Sinazongwe's area and the Siatwinda irrigation sitiuated in senior chief Mweemba's area both sinazongwe district.

"We also expect the completion of the newly day school that was abandoned by the contructor in Malyango village in chief sinazongwe, also the morden market which was again abandoned in Sinazeze by a company called Stauton of lusaka .

"The people of Sinazongwe expect Hon Mutati 's bugdet to answer those things to the people of Sinazongwe and we also expect the Agricultur­e imputs to be brought in the district on time," said Mr Bbabbi. in
