We are not shaken -Wada

….as Nigeria goalkeeper calls Zambia “noise makers”

- By GRACE CHAILE LESOETSA

NIGERIA may boast of having highly rated players, but my boys are fearless and determined to repeat the Algeria fiasco in Uyo, says Zambia head coach Wedson Nyirenda.

And the Chipolopolo team left for Nigeria yesterday after threedays camping in Ghana in readiness for Saturday’s 2018 Russia orld Cup ualifier against the Super Eagles.

In an interview from Ghana yesterday, Nyirenda said his lads were capable of taming the Super Eagles top players.

He said the team had planned well for the game mentally and physically.

“Nigeria has highly placed players such as Victor Moses, Kelechi Iheanacho and Mikel John Obi, but with our good planning, the Super Eagles will fall. I have a tough tested team now and not the one they beat 2-1 last October in Ndola. This team has the passion and positive energy to bring glory to Zambia,” he said.

Nyirenda said Nigeria should not overrate themselves as they would fall like Algeria.

“Algeria was the best team in Africa and they fell to these same lads. So we are not shaken at all,” he said.

He was not worried of the absence of striker Brian Mwila and midfielder Emmanuel anda, saying that replacements such as le g onga will fill up the gap.

ttacking midfielder Enock Mwepu joined the team yesterday while Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka will team up with the squad in Abuja later today.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye is confident the uper Eagles will defeat Zambia.

“We know this is a very important game for us, so we’ll do our best to get the job done on Saturday. “I know they (Zambia) are making noise, that’s football for you; we’ll just concentrate on our training and 90 minutes will tell on Saturday,” Ajiboye said.
