BITTER KAMBWILI WAS NEVER PF FOUNDER MEMBER-LIFWEKELO

-

By MUKOSELA KASALWE Chishimba Kambwili is not among the top founder member of the Patriotic front was not even among the top ten and it’s no wonder he has embarked on a bitter campaign to destroy the party, says former UPND deputy spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo.

Mr Lifwekelo who served as Patriotic Front (PF) first Secretary General said Mr Kambwili was an old member but that he was not even among the top ten founder members of the ruling party.

He said a founder of the party would not have behaved in a bitter manner Roan Member of Parliament and former Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mr Kambwili by demonstrating hypocrisy and disregard for those in power.

In a statement availed to the Daily Nation yesterday, the former UPND bigwig said it was important for PF members to identify common ground that would unite all of its members.

Mr Lifwekelo said the issue of being a founder should not be a matter of life and death as the party needed old and new members for it to continue to amass the needed growing membership.

“A founder member of the party would go flat out to preserve and protect the party at all cost instead of seeking to destroy it. The truth of the matter is that Chishimba Kambwili was not among the top ten that formed the Patriotic Front party,” he said.

He said there were a lot of silent members in the PF who have not benefited like Mr Kambwili, but contributed immensely to the growth of the party.

Mr Lifwekelo said it was ironical that the Roan lawmaker had continued to claim that the PF was his baby but on the other hand was determined to suffocate the same baby.

He described Mr Kambwili as a spoiler who lacked presidential qualities and that he was ungrateful after being given a chance to serve under late Michael Sata and President Edgar Lungu’s administration.
