- By CHITE MTONGA

SENIOR members who left the church after being exposed over alleged misappropriation of church funds facilitated the deportation of Pastor Austin Obosele, some members of the Omega Fire Ministries have revealed.

Members of the Omega Fire Ministries, where recently deported Nigerian clergyman Pastor Obosele presided over, have accused some former church members of conspiring with a group of church leaders in misappropriating church funds.

A spot check by the Daily Nation crew, who spoke to one of the impeccable church members who sought anonymity said that some members out of rage connived with other church leaders to have the pastor deported.

“some members was exposed by the pastor for stealing money, no wonder out of anger, they decided to go against the pastor and tarnish his name to ensure that he was deported.

He further said that the disgraced leaders who broke away from the church went on to spread false rumors that pastor Obosele was engaging in political talks aimed at discrediting the President.

He said that the churches account which was handled some expelled members had since been frozen and it was doubtful as to whether there was any money in the account.

The church is currently run by Zambian pastor, Luckson Mwale but church members are still calling for the return of Pastor Obosele adding that he was innocent and was victimized due to the cruelty of leaders who sought retribution after leaving the church in disgrace.
