‘It’s been an enjoyable itel journey,’ says SlapDee

MUSICIAN Mwila Musonda aka SlapDee says his role as itel Ambassador has been an enjoyable journey that has opened him up to new avenues.

Speaking after the itel’s 10th anniversar­y commemorat­ion held last Friday at Golden

Peacock in Lusaka, the self-proclaimed king of local hip hop said he was very honoured to be part of the itel brand in Africa.

“I joined itel Mobile early this year and I must say the journey has been enjoyable. I am very honoured to be a part of this great company. Itel Mobile was formed with a need. A need to empower Africa with seamless communicat­ions by providing trendy and reliable mobile devices,” he said, adding that through interactio­n and serving his role as ambassador, he has come to appreciate the various charity work itel was engaging itself in.

“I have been part of the community service programmes such as supporting the youth in prisons and the orphanages. This is a huge transforma­tion for me,” adds Slap Dee who is also the face of the itel’s S31 Mobile Phone that boasts of selfies in low light.

And the 10th Anniversar­y was spiced with entertainm­ent, rewards and interactio­n. As Ambassador, Slap Dee took a moment to entertain the audience that mainly included itel Mobile company founders, invited guests, partners and dealears, as well as members of staff from the Zambia office.

At the same occasion, three new phones were launched and these are the itel S32, itel S32 LTE and the S12.
