Hotel promoting homosexual warned

... owners risk prosecution

- By SANDRA MACHIMA

HOTEL owners allowing homosexual activities on their premises which are contrary to the Christian principles and a contravention of the law should be prosecuted, Church of God Cathedral of Miracles senior pastor Naison Nyonyo has said.

Bishop Nyonyo said it was disgusting to see a number of people engaging in homosexual and lesbian activities in a Christian nation, saying Zambia should not be taken for granted.

The clergyman has since urged the church to take interest in issues that were contrary to biblical principles, adding that it should not just wait for the security officers alone, but instead it was everyone’s responsibility to ensure Zambia abide to Christianity values.

Bishop Nyonyo said it was worrying that the tourist capital Livingstone had now become a regional hub for illegal for as lesbians, gays, bisexuals and that this needs seriouse readdress.

“Let us not wait for the security personnels alone. But this is a serious issue that needs everyone’s involvement because Zambia having been declared a Christian nation is actually at war with the devil and as the nation we should overcome by standing for what we are,” he said.

He said it was wrong for hotel owners to entertain such activities when they knew it was criminal, saying God could only bless clean business.

Bishop Nyonyo urged the communities’ not to keep quiet but must expose such illegalities to protect the nation from evil doing, adding that there should be no more works of the devil that should take away the Zambian people from their Christianity way of living.
