KAMBA FIRES WARNING SHOTS AT NDC

- By MUKOSELA KASALWE

FORMER Copperbelt Minister Mwenya Musenge and Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili have nothing to offer the Zambian people as they are known to be practising politics of insults and hooliganism.

In an interview yesterday, Lusaka Province Patriotic Front youth Chairperson Kennedy Kamba said Mr Musenge and Mr Kambwili were political failures.

On Saturday the National Democratic Congress (NDC) held a consultative meeting in Lusaka which was attended by former vice president Guy Scott who has since joined the party as its consultant and godfather.

Mr Kamba said Mr Musenge, who lost his Chimwemwe parliamentary seat to an Independent, Mwila Mutale, had failed to deliver development in the constituency and wondered what he could offer the country.

“We all know who Mwenya Musenge and Chishimba Kambwili are, these are people who practise politics of insults and hooliganism who both have failed at district and constituency levels.

“The duo have nothing to offer the Zambian people,” he said.

Mr Kamba said that it was surprising that some disgruntled Rainbow Party members had resorted to work with the NDC against the background that it was Mr Kambwili who was in the forefront to hound out their party leader Wynter Kabimba out of the PF.

The youth leader boasted that the ruling party informers who would attend the meeting will later brief the PF on the deliberations.

Mr Kamba said Lusaka was pro-PF and that party youths would be provoked if the NDC resorted to insulting or demeaning the Office of the President.

He said Lusaka was a no-go area for the NDC and that PF structures as well as their membership was intact and that the few members the opposition NDC have were from the Rainbow Party.

“Lusaka is pro-PF and is a nogo area for the NDC, our party structures and membership is intact,” he said.

The youth leader said he valued opposition political parties that practised development and issue based politics.
