Zimbabwe crisis: follow the law to remove Mugabe
Dear Editor
THE Zimbabwe political episode should be seen as an epilogue of all those that shift allegiance for personal interests.
Being supported by an army, whose role is to keep peace and thwart aggression from foreign forces, is not a guarantee of prosperity in the nation.
If what has been announced by ZANU-PF meeting is to be relied upon for political and economic progress, you are in for a surprise.
Britain has already hinted that “you cannot replace a dictator with another one".
We need to evaluate how responsive the EU, Britain, US and Australian governments shall take this unfortunate turn of events in Zimbabwe.
It shall be like the adage of “the devil you know is better than the angel you don't.
How can Chinamasa say “the war veterans shall also occupy influential positions in government”? That said will sanctions be lifted or maintained?
SADCC meeting to be held in Luanda - Angola today should be decisive and end this impasse immediately.
Late Colonel Muammar Gaddafi warned Libyans, just like Iraq's Sadam Hussein, how they will be running around like rats in their own country, if the two leaders are deposed from power. This is now the prevailing truth in these states. Hope this does not show its ugly face once more in Zimbabwe.
Let the democratic dispensation prevail and not turning allegiance to the wind that will soon be blocked by a strong wind breaker. AUBREY KASONU
