ZANACO MAIN SPONSOR OF 2018 ZAMBIA OPEN
THE 2018 Zambia Open organizing committee has unveiled Zanaco Bank as the main sponsors of the championship to be held in April at Lusaka Golf Club.
Speaking when the bank presented US$200,000 cheque towards the hosting of the tournament, ZANACO chief executive officer, Henk Mulder said that his bank was committed to contributing to the growth of the sport of golf in Zambia.
Mulder indicated that Zanaco intended to have a long term relationship with tournament’s organizing committee.
“It’s a great honor for us to be the main sponsors of next year’s Zambia Open Championship. We were at this year’s tournament as a small sponsor and as we promised that next time we would be big sponsors and we have done just that,
“This shows our commitment in contributing to the growth of the sport in Zambia. This package is for the year 2018 but we intend to have a long term relationship with the organizing committee,”
Meanwhile Zambia Open Chairman, Roy Penney said he was grateful to Zanaco for coming on board to sponsor next year’s championship after Zambia Sugar pulled out from sponsoring the tournament.

“We commend ZANACO for coming on board to be the main sponsors of the Zambia open. We intend to make a difference as the organizing committee. We have the Zambia junior golf development program which we will support as it is important for the growth of golf,” Penney said.
And Zambia Golf Union president Jason Kazilimani urged other corporate entities to emulate ZANACO in supporting the growth of golf in Zambia.
Kazilimani who presented a certificate to Steven Nawa for being the second rules official in Zambia, said the sport would continue to develop with the support from different stakeholders.
