… vow to fight poverty through music

By AARON CHIYANZO AJ is a group of two close friends, Andrew and Jack who have vowed to fight poverty in the country through music.

The duo believe that music has power to move mountains and transform the mindset of a lost community.

The group points out that the remedy to poverty is education and that music can help young people not to lose focus on education.

AJ has so far recorded 4 songs, ‘Ku skulu’, ‘Life is like a bulb’, ‘youth talk’ and another danceable version of ‘young talk’. The artistes explained that ‘Ku skulu’, is a song that encourages young people to focus on school and points out that education has no age limit, while ‘Life is like a bulb’ outlines how young people can become leaders in future.

‘Young talk’ however is a love song about a couple in love but was never accorded a chance to get married.

s6ai8d3. Andrew, who was born in 1995 in Kitwe started writing songs at a very tender and is inspired by legends such as Kark Franklyn and Abel Chungu., while Jack Likuka was born in Monze.

The Lusaka-based music group is set for greater heights, with a vision to see a transforme­d youth in the country.

The group as27sure the youth that they can be anything in life if only they put their minds to it, nothing is impossible with God.

The duo promise nothing but the best music which will transform minds and ensure that youths are empowered.
