WELL DONE COUNCILLOR CHINYANTA

-

Dear Editor,

ALLOW me to thank Matero Ward 28 councillor Annie Chinyanta for helping to expose so-called sex dens in Lusaka where minors were being exploited through immoral activities.

Let me state from the onset that Ms Chinyanta’s noble and patriotic efforts need to be supported by all citizens and authorities.

My heart bleeds with sadness to read about what has been happening to our children in those backrooms just because of money, little money for that matter.

I salute the councillor for organising the raid undertaken by a combined team of council and police officers that exposed sexual exploitation of our young girls by some foreigners.

Surely, it’s sad that such things have been happening right in the eyes of the police and other citizens yet people decided to ignore the immoral acts, choosing to bury their heads in the sand like an ostrich. It had to take Ms Chinyanta, a woman, to put an end to this rot.

How can we sit back and watch foreigners destroy this country? There is need for similar raids to be undertaken in other areas too to stop the escalating levels of immorality and even worse exploitation of our girls and women.

Police must find the owners of these joints of immorality and deport them back to their home countries without hesitation. They came here to seek refuge and not to corrupt the minds of our young people and destroy this peace-loving country.

Fellow Zambians let’s watch and protect this country from being destroyed through immorality perpetrated not only by foreigners but even some greedy Zambians.

We have no other country to run to and being a Christian country, let’s live by Christian values. Yes there is poverty but illicit sex and immorality do not and can never end poverty.

Hats off to Annie Chinyanta. Let other councillors and leaders emulate her efforts in bringing about sanity in our townships. Concerned Parent Denga Z Nyirenda Lusaka
