PATROTIC Front Chawama ward two treasure Tom Shula has donated has 600 exercise books to Home of David and Faith Orphanage in Lusaka’s Libala area.

The Orphanage is owned by Lusaka businessman Trevor Ng’andu, popularly known as Uncle T and his wife Sikopa Maata.

Mr Shula said he was moved by Mr Ng’andu’s ability to help the needy in society adding that uncle T was a generous man who had the heart for the underprivileged in society.

He appealed to other business communities to emulate Mr Ng’andu for the good gesture and for continued support to young people in society.

“I was touched when I read on social media how much Uncle T has been helping the needy. I had just learnt that he and his wife had adopted the young talented Dizmo and his brother. This is what we need to do in life to help where we can.

“So today I am giving a small contribution of 600 exercise books for our children here at the orphanage to use when schools open. We will continue to help with books, pencils and other school necessaries from time to time,” Mr Shula said.

And speaking when he received the books, Mr Mr Ng’andu said he was happy with the donation which he stated books would go a long way in helping children at the orphanage.

Mr Ng’andu said he would ensure that the books were put to good use and appealed to the children to take care of the books.

He said education was key for any person to succeed in life, adding that was why Government had priotised education.

“On behalf of the children here at Home of David and Faith we are happy to receive such as donation of the books because they will go a very long way.

“We are very pleased to receive them and may God richly bless you for giving a helping hand to our dear children here at the orphanage,” Mr Ng’andu said.
