KABUSHI law maker Bowman Lusambo has urged constituents in the area to show appreciation for the many development projects under PF leadership by re electing President Edgar Lungu into office in 2021.
Mr Lusambo has meanwhile donated bags of mealie meal and beddings to 1,600 elderly persons in the seven wards of his constituency.
Speaking during the handover to the beneficiaries, Mr Lusambo said the President had exhibited leadership of servant hood which replicated in the numerous developmental projects initiated across the country meant to uplift the living standards of people.
Mr Lusambo said Kabushi constituency had witnessed the upgrading of road infrastructure with the overhaul water and sanitation project which was going.
He said that once the projects were completed, the area was expected to have a much better facelift.
“Kabushi residents have for a long time been subjected to poor road infrastructure and blocked sewer lines which had broken down proving challenge to good sanitation,
“Under the urban road project, the area has received its share and the contractor has since covered some kilometres. Under Kafubu Water and Sewerage, an overhaul is being done and blocked sewer lines will be a thing of the past,” he said
Meanwhile, Mr Lusambo, who is Copperbelt Minister, disclosed that 600 beneficiaries in Ndola had been identified under the social cash transfer project which was being spearheaded under the Ministry of Community Welfare and Development.
And one of the beneficiaries, 94 year old veteran Wilson Banda thanked President Lungu for the gesture.
Speaking in an interview Mr Banda said the gifts had lighten the burden and showed that elderly persons had not been forgotten.
