Kitwe clinics get shot in arm

LUNGA Resources Company in Wusakile has donated mattresses, blankets, plastic cups and plates to B7 and Chamboli government clinics worth K37,000 through the ruling PF.

The company has also donated foodstuffs which included cooking oil, sugar and mealie-meal to the old people’s home in Ndeke Township.

PF Wusakile constituen­cy chairman Davies Simunyola, said at B7 Clinic, the company donated four mattresses, four blankets, 8 plastics cups and 8 plastic plates, while at Chamboli government clinic, the company donated four mattresses, four blankets, 8 plastics cups and 8 plastic plates.

More than 30 bottles of cooking oil, 30 x 1kilogramm­es of sugar and 30 x 10 kilogramme­s of mealie-meal were donated to the old people in Ndeke township.

Mr Simunyola said, the Lunga Resources, through the PF in Wusakile constituen­cy had decided to donate to the two clinics to help them in addressing the challenges they were facing.

“As we come to the end of the year, Lunga Resources decided to donate various goods to the two clinics in the constituen­cy and to the vulnerable people in the area. We have donated mattresses, blankets, cups and plates to B7 and Chamboli clinics,

“We also thought we should come and donate cooking oil, sugar and mealie-meal here to you, our parents in Ndeke Township. The donation may be small, but we thought we should share," Mr Simunyola said.

Speaking after receiving the donations on behalf of others, Lilly Songwe said, she was grateful for the gesture shown.

“After receiving these things, it would be ungrateful to keep quiet without saying thank you. We are grateful for these things we have received. They will make a difference," Ms Songwe said.
