I did not entice anyone - Bushiri

- By AARON CHIYANZO

SOUTH AFRICAN based prophet, Shepherd Bushiri has refuted claims by a Zambian politician that he enticed a politician to resign and position himself for the Presidency.

Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) president, Wright Musoma had accused prophet Bushiri of enticing a named minister to resign and position himself for the republican Presidency.

But prophet Bushiri rejected the claims and demanded for an apology from Mr Musoma, adding that he was very surprised that such a respected politician would go public telling lies against him.

Prophet Bushiri said that he was a man of God, not a politician and would never take any role in anything concerning politics.

The founder and leader of Shepherd Bushiri Ministries International, said that he was shocked and disturbed with the claims.

He reiterated that the claims were a careful work of fabrication, solely and tactically aimed at dragging his ministry into Zambia's local politics.

This is contained in a statement made available by the ministry’s communications director, Ephraim Nyondo in Johannesburg. “The prophet wants to make it clear that he is a man of God, not a politician. Further, where ever his ministry operates, his ministry does not and will never participate and take any role in anything concerning politics.

“The prophet also wanted to take this opportunity to remind the world that his ministry is enjoying good relations not just with the people of Zambia but across the world. Hence, he is calling on people of goodwill to reject any contrary force that, using lies and deception, wants to drag his ministry into domestic national politics,” said Mr Nyondo.

Mr Nyondo said that the prophet never had any contact with Mr Musoma and was very surprised that he could peddle lies against him.
