Kwacha, Nkana PF welcome Malanji, Chiteme appointments
THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Kwacha and Nkana constituencies of Kitwe have welcomed the appointment of their two Members of Parliament (MP) to the position of cabinet ministers.
President Edgar Lungu has appointed Kwacha MP, Joe Malanji to the position of Foreign Affairs Minister, while Nkana MP Alexander Chiteme has been appointed to the position of Minister of National Planning.
PF Kwacha constituency Information and Publicity Secretary Godfridah Chulu said the party in the area was grateful to President Lungu for appointing Mr Malanji as Foreign Affairs Minister.
Ms Chulu said she was sure that Mr Malanji who has always been a generous and hard working person, will continue to be hardworking and loyal to President Lungu.
“As Kwacha constituency, we are happy and grateful to President Lungu for having appointed Mr Malanji as Foreign Affair Minister. Mr Malanji has been a humble, generous and hardworking MP and we are confident that he will deliver in his new appointment.
“As a party, we will give him the necessary support he deserves. He has been caring and respectful to the party organs and to the electorate. In short, Mr Malanji deserves the appointment,” Ms Chulu said.
And Nkana constituency Vice-chairman Edward Chitambetambe said the party in the constituency was grateful that President Lungu had decided to appoint area MP Alexander Chiteme as Minister of National Planning.
Mr Chitambetambe said, the appointment of Mr Chiteme to the position of Minister of National Planning was clear indication of his regard for the people of Nkana constituency.
He said he was sure that Mr Chiteme would perform well in his position as minister and would continue to be loyal to President Lungu.
