More artistes sing against cholera
FROM Drimz and General Kanene who have released music to sensitise people about the current cholera epidemic, the task has now spread to several other artistes to sing about cholera. The latest additions in the last two days includes Chester, Rich Bizzy and comedian Dumbwi. Several other artistes have joined hands in helping spread messages on the disease on their various platforms especially social media. This move is all in the spirit of uniting against cholera and helping maintain cleanliness and general hygiene. Rich Bizzy’s song is dubbed, ‘Cholera’ and is an appeal to every Zambian to maintain high standards of hygiene to avoid the disease. Presented under Tulibantu Promotions and produced by Bicko Bicko, is set in Rich Bizzy’s usual style characterized by fine vocals, commentary and chants. It is constantly reminding people on the basic practices that can be used in homes to avoid the spread. It concludes with a fine dance mix to make both educative and entertaining.
On the other hand Chester’s song is called ‘Tu icingilile’ translated as, ‘let’s protect ourselves’. Like Rich Bizzy, Chester is also highlighting the best practices to avoid and cholera and he is also emphasizing on the need for a combined effort in the fight against the disease. Comedian Dumbwi, famous from the local film ,‘ Red Bag’ has also added his voice on the disease. In his song, Dumbwi is being comical about the whole situation but yet again, maintaining the important message of avoiding cholera through keeping clean.
It is clear that many more artistes are working day and night to add their voice to the scourge in the spirit of ‘One Zambia, One Nation.’
