Kitwe PF youth back party leadership

- By BENNIE MUNDANDO

WE will not condone selfish individuals hell bent on bringing confusion in the party but will stand by the current leadership, Kitwe district PF youth chairperson Kaboba Mukhuzo has said.

Mr Mukhuzo said the top leadership was assured of loyalty and unwavering support by the Kitwe district youths.

Mr. Mukhuzo has demanded that both Bahati MP Harry Kalaba and his Roan counterpart Chishimba Kambwili must resign from their seats as PF MPs and allow by-elections to take place in the two constituencies.

He said there can never be a convenient marriage with people who did not believe in the ideals of the same party under whose ticket they were serving.

“The PF youths in Kitwe district will not be used by any selfish individual with ill motives to bring confusion in the party. As PF youths in Kitwe, we stand and respect the current leadership that we have in place,” Mr Mukhuzo said.

He also said Mr Kalaba had divorced himself from the PF Government and that there was nothing more left for him hence the need for him to resign than continuing to play double standards when he knew where his loyalty was.

“Mr Kalaba has alleged that there is corruption in the PF Government as his reasons for resigning but how possible is it that he wants to still remain in a family that is corrupt? To us the youths, this shows that Mr Kalaba is a bitter man because his ambitions to unseat President Edgar Lungu were exposed.

“The only way Mr. Kalaba can survive for now is to call Government corrupt. We want Mr Kalaba to help the investigative wings of Government in fighting corruption by producing evidence than speaking from a bitter mouth.

“The youths of Kitwe join calls from other districts on the Copperbelt that are challenging Mr Kalaba to resign,” he said.

He also warned that PF youths in Kitwe will not take it kindly on Mr. Kambwili who had been insulting Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda even when there was nothing wrong he had done.

“As youths of Kitwe, we are also running out of patience with the insults that are coming from expelled Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili. Mr Kambwili has insulted our Provincial youth chairman comrade Nathan Chanda by calling him all sorts of names and we have not reacted because we respect him as our father.
