He noted that ZAVA would engage schools in all the 10 provinces of Zambia for each one to have a league running.

“We are focused on improving the levels of Volleyball in Zambia. Our first priority is to take volleyball to all parts of the country.

“ZAVA will work with regional coordinators and chairmen to ensure participation of schools and visibility of volleyball as a brand at Inter-section and Inter-district level,” Mwanachingwala said.

“ZAVA will also be launching the ParaVolley Pilot League which is expected to start next may. The purpose for the one month league is to ensure that everyone participates in the growth of volleyball in Zambia. The Sitting Volleyball League which will cover Lusaka, Mazabuka and chilanga will be run by the Sitting Volleyball Commission in ZAVA,” he added.

Mwanachingwala however appealed to the cooperate world to support ZAVA with the financial muscle required for the growth of the sport in Zambia.

He noted that the various programs put in place by the Association for the year 2018 require funding from various stake holders for the programs to be successful.
