ANNE KANSIIME SHOW PUSHED TO APRIL

THE Anne Kansiime planned comedy show for the Valentines period has been moved to end of April due to the cholera epidemic in Zambia, organizers have announced.

The show which was scheduled for the love month of February and themed, ‘Tikonda Comedy Show’ will now take place on April 27th at Lusaka’s Mulungushi Internatio­nal Conference Centre with a suitable theme to be advised later.

Confirming the developmen­t in a statement, Anne Kansiime Visit to Zambia Project coordinato­r Sylvester Chishiba famously known as Papa Sylve said it was an avoidable and in line with the country’s efforts to fight the cholera epidemic.

As organizers, we take the situ7ation seriously and believe in the safety of our fellow citizens in controllin­g the outbreak,” r9ead the statement.

“We however thank everybody in their different efforts to see that this show takes place. We therefore announce that instead of February 16th 2018, the show will now take place on April 27th at the Mulungushi Internatio­nal Conference Centre.”

Papa Syl1v4e Entertainm­ents al1s o as1s6ured all the sponsors and partners for the show to support the team as the nation18re­sponds to various measures in curbing the cholera outbreak.

The Anne Ka2n siime sh2o2w is planned to take place alongside a music gig to be hosted by veteran DJs Links in the Mix and Bizzy Wizzy. The show will also be supported by local comedy duo of Kapembwa and K-Star also known as Mkushi Accents.

Anne Kansiime is a famous Ugandan female comedian whose influence and acts have spread across the continent of Africa and beyond. She is famous for her series on DStv Channel 160 called ‘Don’t Mess with Kansiime.’
