UPND COUNCILLOR RESIGNS, JOINS PF

- By JACKSON MAPAPAYI

UNITED Party For National Development (UPND) Counsellor for Kalilele ward Jacob Mulikita in Mushindamo, North Western Province has resigned and joined the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).

In his resignation letter obtained by the Daily Nation, Mr Mulikita has cited dictatorial kind of leadership, arrogance, tribalism, selfishness and lack of respect for the rule of law as some of the reasons that has made him to resign from the party.

He said people should know that UPND has nothing to offer to the people of Zambia.

"This is evident with their re- gional and tribal tag of instigating people including traditional leaders to rise against government," he said.

He also accused Mushindamo council chairman Lackson Mulumbi of being arrogant, which has led to councillors being frustrated.

He said the PF and it's leadership has proved beyond reasonable doubt that it means well for the people of North Western province and Zambia as a whole.

"This is evidenced by the massive developmental projects being undertaken across the country North Western inclusive.

And Commenting on the development, North Western PF Provincial Chairperson Mr. Jackson Kungo said the doors are open for all people in the opposition who have realised that there is nothing for them outside the ruling party.

He said the new Provincial Executive Committee means business and will stop at nothing when it comes to party mobilization and making PF the preferred party for the people of North Western Province.

"More are coming and they are welcome to join our democratic party under the able leadership of President Edgar Chagwa Lungu," Mr Kungo said.
