- BY PRISCA LUMINGU

BANDA Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Kampamba Mulenga yesterday unveiled the new boards for Zambia Daily Mail and Times PrintPak Zambia Limited.

The two boards were dissolved in 2015 by then broadcasting minister Chishimba Kambwili after their three year mandate expired.

The Minister says government recognises the important role corporate governance plays and hence the reconstitution of the boards for the two companies.

Speaking at media briefing this afternoon, Ms Kampamba urged board members to ensure that the financial challenges facing the two companies are resolved so that the companies become self-sustaining.

The Daily Mail board includes Gillian Mukula Mwaba, Winston Muchemwa Siwale, Maureen Nkandu, Simon Mwale, Geoffrey Wamusula Simukoko, Dr Chanda Mulenga, Godfrey Malama, who is Information and Broadcasting Permanent Secretary and Nebat Mbewe, the managing director.

The Times of Zambia includes Gideon Mwewa, Nikiwe Simpungwe, Mable Mung’omba, Horace Longwe, Bwalya Mwila, Lydia Mpepo, Nkusuwila Mabo, Mr Malama and Times managing director, Beston Ngónga. The Minister has further revealed that the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) Board will be announced shortly after ratification in the National Assembly.
